AFTER the folly of the painted road art in Poole, I now see alongside it is being erected what one can only describe as stainless-steel metal poles, literally curved at all angles, on top of which is a metal bird.

One is left wondering who on earth in BCP council commissions this type of thing? Besides being a complete waste of money, to look at the curved poles supporting the art (birds) is something to behold.

Is there no one in BCP council that can see how silly this makes the town look.

What on earth is this meant to represent, I suppose the answer to that will be given in some council gobbledygook again, the same as they came out with over the painted road art.

Watch this space, because next up will be the stainless-steel rope knot art that they have commissioned to be placed on the newly landscaped area at Hunger Hill.

The actual landscaping at Hunger Hill and between the two Poole Bridges on its own looks very good, but for heaven sake why go and spoil it with expensive metal monstrosities.

It will be interesting to see what others think of this as I feel sure that yet again, like the road art, this will make the national press.
