I read a very good book set in Hertfordshire in that long winter.
It was 'His Coldest Winter' by Derek Beaven.
I lived near to the author but can only really remember that people were queueing outside Australia House for the chance to emigrate.
Dr Valentina Zharkova predicts that we are now entering a prolonged period of global cooling.
The next year should be very interesting.
