THE number of new Covid cases recorded in the BCP Council area is 56, according to the latest government update.
The Department of Health and Social Care figures were recorded across Dorset in 24-hours up to 4pm on Friday.
In the BCP area the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic are now 24,272.
Meanwhile, in the Dorset Council area 84 cases were reported in the same 24-hour period.
Since March 10,979 cases have been confirmed.
The number of cases in the BCP area over the latest rolling seven-day period is 617, with a rate of 156.1 per 100,000 people. In Dorset 333 cases have been confirmed in the last past seven days. The case rate is 88.
In the New Forest there we 15 new cases. The total in the district since the pandemic started is 5,776. A total of 168 cases have been seen in the past seven days and the case rate is 93.3.
