A TEENAGED boy has been robbed by two older masked teens during a "frightening incident" in broad daylight.

The 13-year-old was attacked by the boys, aged around 15 or 16, as he walked in the area of Kings Park Road, Boscombe, Bournemouth.

The pair, who were wearing face masks and riding on Beryl Bikes, demanded the victim's coat before assaulting him.

Detectives have launched a robbery investigation and have urged anyone who witnessed the attack to make contact.

The boy suffered a cut and swollen lip, and a cut to his nose.

He was forced to hand over his coat, which had £20 in the pocket.

Detective Constable Jo Regan, of Bournemouth CID, said: "This must have been a frightening incident for the victim and we are carrying out a full investigation to identify the individuals responsible.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the robbery, or who saw two teenagers matching the descriptions given in the area on the afternoon to please contact us.”

The robbery took place on Thursday, February 4.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Both of the offenders are described as being around 15 or 16 years old.

"One is described as being less than five feet nine inches tall, of slim build and was wearing a black tracksuit with a hood and a black mask covering most of his face.

"The other offender is described as mixed race, taller than five feet nine inches and of slim build with black curly hair.

"He was wearing a grey or silver jacket or hooded top that had a zip across the body and was also wearing a face mask."
