RIDERS of e-skateboards have been warned they are illegal to use on footpaths and roads in the UK.
North Dorset police have given advice to the rider of the board pictured and warned any future use could lead to it being seized.
"The rider of this one has been spoken to" said a spokesman. "Like e-scooters they are legally sold but as yet no laws have been instigated to make their use legal barring in trial areas where some e-scooters can be hired."

The spokesman said a number of such skateboards have been seen in the Shaftesbury area.
Privately-owned e-scooters cannot be used legally but a trial scheme in Bournemouth allows them to be hired.
Beryl - which also offers hire bikes - has introduced the green scooters to the town and they are already proving popular.
They can only be hired by people with a valid driving licence and the hire agreement includes insurance.
