A BRAND new paediatric resuscitation trolley has been purchased for an emergency department thanks to fundraising efforts.
South Coast Makers Market, based in Bournemouth, raised £3,456.40 to help fund a paediatric resuscitation trolley for Bournemouth Hospital’s Emergency Department.
An eBay-style online auction was launched in April by the market owners in lieu of being able to host an event.
The owners also hosted an online raffle to contribute to their fundraising efforts.
Jo from South Coast Makers Market said: 'The arrival of the paediatric trolley is great news and we're absolutely delighted to have been able to help support the Emergency Department. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated or contributed an item to our online fundraising auction and raffle. We're pleased to support our NHS staff and local hospital during this time.'
A paediatric resuscitation trolley is specially designed to ensure that emergency equipment for children is readily accessible and stored safely in a child-friendly way.
This new addition will enable the charity to continue its important work amid these unprecedented times.
