On Friday 29th January I received the first of two Covid vaccinations.
Yes, I was pleased to start this important step to getting back to normal life but also feeling very guilty.
Why?
At 73 years of age and retired, it has not been too difficult for me to follow the rules and stay at home unless essential shopping, etc. to do.
But it seems that firefighters in Hertfordshire, serving on the front line in public and attending Covid cases when called upon for assistance, are yet to receive this vaccination.
Surely they are more vulnerable than I am and deserve protection as do all emergency workers?
It seems priorities are becoming rather muddled amongst the rush to distribute this vaccine to the elderly, grateful as we all are.
