Poole Quay on the Poole side has seen many changes over the years moving from the industrial to the commercial side, this photo which is part of the Grahame Austin Collection shows the corner of High Street and the Quay Road in the 1970s.
Every building now has new ownership, The Warehouse holds several businesses, The Kings Arms has changed hands a number of times, the Restaurant Olympia and the chip shop which changed hands over the years has now been demolished replaced by residential housing and shops and the building to the far right for many years was the retail home of Purbeck Pottery which sadly is closed now.
