ONE of the Hamworthy's busiest roads will be closed over three consecutive Sundays next month.
The closures, at Blandford Road, are planned to allow engineers to install new signage on the two bridges near Turlin Moor, after one was struck by a high vehicle.
Councillor Dan Butt, who represents the Hamworthy ward for BCP Council, said: "We are keen to get the signage in as soon as possible to prevent any further incidents.
"We have been working with Network Rail who have approved the works.
"There are signage works that are required on Blandford Road on the two bridges, which unfortunately requires a closure over three consecutive Sundays in February (14th, 21st and 28th)."
The closures will be in place from 7.30am-4.30pm and a diversion route in place.
Cllr Butt said: "The proposal is to carry out the works on a Sunday as hopefully this would cause the least amount of impact on Lidl and the bus services, both of which have been advised of the closure."
