A VAN suspected to have been involved in fly-tipping in Dorset has been seized.
Dorset Council's waste enforcement team confiscated the Ford Transit van, which included a number of personal effects, paperwork and containers full of oil, just before midday on Wednesday, January 20.
The van, registration BN52 DYH, is from Great Yarmouth.
A Dorset Council spokesman said: "This vehicle is subject to a live investigation and is suspected to have been involved in fly-tipping and other environmental crimes within Dorset.
"It has now been seized pending investigation."
To help in the fight against fly-tipping, the waste service’s enforcement team has asked for residents to help.
The spokesman said: "If you spot a fly-tip, don’t assume we know about it. Fly-tips can be reported to the council online and by phone.
"We will investigate all reported incidents and, where there is enough evidence, attempt to trace and prosecute those responsible."
