GPS at a Verwood surgery have urged patients not to contact them about vaccinations as it faces "unprecedented demand."
The Cranborne Practice in Lake Road says demand exceeds current supply of the vaccine and said it has received a huge influx of requests for appointments from frontline workers and carers.
In a post on Facebook, a spokesman said: "The NHS is prioritising vaccinating those people who experts have agreed will benefit from it the most. Like other GP Practices, we are working through our patients in line with those guidelines and will contact eligible patients as allocated supplies allow.
Covid hotspots across BCP are revealed
"There is unprecedented demand on the surgery at present. As well as continuing our usual healthcare services for our patients, we are coordinating and managing a significant vaccination programme to combat Covid-19."
Patients will be contacted when they are eligible and should attend any appointments booked.
