A WINDOW was smashed during a botched break-in at a Poole High Street store.
Police are investigating the attempted burglary, which took place at Savers around 4.15pm on Sunday, January 10.
Investigators believe a man first attempted to force a lock on the shop door, before kicking the window and breaking it.
Despite the damage, he was unable to get inside the shop.
However, police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Police community support investigator Adam Cleaver, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this matter and have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect.
“I appreciate the image is not of the best quality but he is wearing distinctive clothing and I would urge anyone with information as to the man’s identity to please contact us.”
