A SECTION of the A338 Wessex Way is set to be closed overnight later this month.
The dual carriageway will be shut off to vehicles between St Paul's roundabout to Richmond Hill roundabout from 9pm on Tuesday, January 19, until 4am on Wednesday, January 20.
This is to allow BCP Council engineers to carry out bridge inspection works on the Lansdowne Road bridge, which runs over the Wessex Way near St Paul's roundabout.
A diversion route will be in place using Wimborne Road, Lansdowne Road, Lansdowne roundabout, Holdenhurst Road and Station roundabout.
Meanwhile, a slip road onto the Wessex Way is set to be closed during the day on Tuesday, January 12.
No vehicles will be able to access the dual carriageway towards Bournemouth town centre from the Springbourne roundabout between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Traffic will be diverted along Holdenhurst Road, Station roundabout and St Paul's Road.
