THE Hamworthy Club at Canford Magna has been revealed as a Covid-19 vaccination site.
Doctors at the Hadleigh House Surgery in Broadstone have told patients they hope to invite them to the site from nextweek.
A spokesman said: "We are pleased to be able to finally confirm that our site for the Covid vaccination will be The Hamworthy Club. As it is a non-NHS site it took a while longer to obtain the necessary stringent approval, but we feel this site will allow us to provide the vaccination as safely and conveniently as possible.
"We have been told that we are likely to be sent our first batch of vaccines during the week commencing January 11 and will thus start vaccination as soon as possible from that date."
In a post on Facebook the surgery over 80s will be invited first, followed by over 75s, then over 70s and so on.
"Those aged between 16 and 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at extremely high risk of Covid-19 are currently in the cohort after those aged 65 years and over. Separate arrangements are being made for those in care/nursing homes, and those who are housebound."
Patients were asked not to call the surgery, but to wait until they are called for vaccination.
