GARDEN waste collections start in two weeks for thousands of customers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

A catch-up service between January 18 and February 12 will be held to make up for two collections last year which were suspended due to coronavirus.

All those who paid for last year's collections will be able to use the catch-up service as long as they display their 2020 bin sticker.

Those who have singed up for the first time or 2021 will see their service begin from the week beginning February 15.

A spokesman for BCP Council said: "The 2021 service officially starts week commencing February 15. The last collection will be on week ending 17 December 2021.

"Please make sure you always put the bin out by 5am on your collection day. We will empty your bin fortnightly on the same day. We often make collections in the evening and may continue until 8pm."
