NEARLY 600 more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Dorset and the New Forest in the last 24 hours.
Government figures released this afternoon reveal there have been a total of 19,358 cases in the area since the start of the pandemic.
There were a further 373 cases in Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole bringing the total there to 11,186. The infection rate per 100,000 population is 389.5.
Five further coronavirus deaths in 24 hours
In the Dorset Council area the rate is 196.6 per 100,000 after 125 more cases brought the total to 5,160.
The New Forest saw a further 87 cases, with a total of 3,102 and an infection rate of 237.1
