Now BCP Council has urged the owner to come forward to claim it.

A council spokesman said: "Whilst excavating a timber groyne along our seafront one of our team found what we believe is a gent’s platinum wedding band.
"We’d love to reunite the ring with its owner. It's possibly an early Christmas present for someone. If you think it might be yours please email coastal@bcpcouncil.gov.uk and tell us what the inscription says to claim it."
