PLEASE refrain from describing a few angry letters in the Echo from self-satisfied and self-entitled air polluters as “a public backlash” against the active travel schemes introduced by the Unity Alliance.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says objective polling should guide the introduction of low-traffic neighbourhoods rather than “listening only to the loudest voices or giving any one group a veto”.

Unfortunately, the current BCP administration has little regard for objective polling.

What could be more objective than the results of the May 2019 local election when a majority voted for a non-Conservative administration?
