STUDENTS at Twynham School have been told to self-isolate after a year 13 pupil has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Close contacts of the student, who has not been in school since Thursday October 26, have been contacted and given advice about self-isolation.
In a letter to parents, head teacher Jy Taylor said: “We have engaged with Public Health England and Public Health Dorset and we are working closely with them, including following their procedures and advice to identify specific risks and manage this situation. We will continue to monitor and review this situation.
“Due to the extensive measures that we already implemented upon re-opening the school, including the strict use of seating plans, the only additional measure is for a small group of close contacts to self-isolate for 14 days.”
