FIVE more patients have died with Covid-19 in Dorset hospitals.

Three of the deaths occurred in University Hospitals Dorset with two recorded on Thursday, November 26.

The third death happened on Wednesday, November 25.

One death was reported at Poole Hospital on Thursday, November 26.

Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust confirmed a death on Thursday, November 19.

Since the start of the pandemic, 249 hospital patients have died with the virus in Dorset.

Ninety-nine deaths have been reported at Poole Hospital, 68 at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals and 31 by University Hospitals Dorset.

Elsewhere, 25 have been reported by Dorset County Hospital and 26 by the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS officials said today another 338 people who tested positive for the Coronavirus have died.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 39,908.

Patients were aged between 31 and 105 years old.

All except 12, aged between 45 and 93 years old had known underlying health conditions.

Date of death ranges from 30 September to 26 November 2020.
