AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a tipper truck was stolen in a Purbeck village.

The theft of the white Ford Transit vehicle from Capston Field off High Street, Langton Matravers took place sometime between 4.20pm on Wednesday, November 11, and 8.30am on Thursday, November 12.

Officers have made efforts to locate the truck, which has the registration FX57 ZKD, but to date they have been unsuccessful.

An appeal for help from the public to locate the stolen vehicle was issued by Dorset Police on Friday, November 27.

Police Community Support Investigator Roslyn Curtis, of Dorset Police, said: “We have made a number of enquiries in a bid to locate this vehicle, including CCTV checks in the local area and enquiries with the DVLA.

“I would ask anyone who has seen this vehicle, a similar vehicle parked in unusual circumstances or has any information about who was responsible to please contact Dorset Police.”
