A DRIVER stopped by police for no insurance told officers his partner had taken out a policy a few weeks ago.
But his partner, who was in the vehicle at the time, said no policy had been taken out.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team seized the VW Passat after stopping it in Blandford on Saturday.
A spokesman for No Excuse said: "A driving licence check on the driver showed the male had his driving licence revoked by DVLA, his address was five years out of date.
"The driver received a ticket to court for both offences where he’s going to find it difficult to get his licence back. The vehicle was seized.
"Please make sure all documents are in order and addresses updated correctly."
