A FIRST school has closed its doors and moved to remote learning due to positive coronavirus cases.
Pupils from St James First School in Gaunts Common near Wimborne are now self-isolating at home.
Sam Crowe, Director of Public Health for Dorset and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Councils said: "We are aware of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at St James CE VC First School in Gaunts Common.

"The school is working closely with Public Health Dorset, Dorset Council and Public Health England South West to ensure that all necessary measures are being met.
"Due to the need for pupils to self-isolate, the decision has been made for the school to move temporarily to remote learning.
"Pupils will return to school at the end of their self-isolation periods providing they have no symptoms of COVID-19."
