BURGLARS who stole thousands of pounds worth of tools during a raid may not have realised they are all marked with initials.

Police have appealed for help from the public after the tools were taken in a break-in near Blandford on Thursday October 22.

Access was gained to a property in Milton Abbas between 7pm and 9pm.

The stolen items include a Makita plunge saw, drill, reciprocating saw, jig saw, chainsaw, multi tool, batteries and charger. A number of the items were marked with the initials MC.

Police Constable David Rudenko, of Blandford police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this burglary and I am appealing for anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who has come across items matching the descriptions given above being offered for sale locally in unusual circumstances.”
