A MAN suffered a fractured finger and facial injuries after he was assaulted on a bus.
The victim, a Bournemouth man aged in his 30s, was travelling on the M2 bus from Bournemouth to Poole when he became involved in a row with another man outside the Hollywood Bowl in Poole Road, Branksome, at around 8.15pm on Thursday, October 22.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
A 35-year-old man from Poole was arrested at the scene in connection with the assault and he has been released under investigation.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Investigations Officer Stevie Tiernan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I understand there were a number of other people on the bus at the time it occurred.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the alleged assault, or the moments leading up to it, to please contact us.”
