THE Year 3 'bubble' at Twynham primary School in Christchurch has been set home to self-isolate.
Pupils and two staff members will remain at home for 14 days but the rest of the Marsh Lane school remains open.
A spokesman for the school told the Daily Echo: "Twynham Primary School is reporting its first case of Covid-19. Yesterday evening we were notified that one of our Year 3 pupils has tested positive for COVID-19.
"We have worked closely and rapidly with Public Health England and BCP to ensure that any transmission risk is minimised. The children and two staff members who belong to the affected year group ‘bubble’ have begun self-isolating today. Based on a thorough risk assessment, we are remaining open.
"Due to the extensive measures that we have already implemented upon re-opening the school, we are confident that we can respond effectively to any further potential confirmed cases in the coming weeks and months."
