DRIVERS who had forgotten to switch their lights on and people speeding in a rush to get home were among those stopped by police on Saturday night.
Officers stopped a Ford Focus in West Street, Poole and a Toyota in Wimborne Road, Corfe Mullen for no lights.
The first also had bald tyres and the second was speeding.
A Porsche driver in Lilliput stopped at 42mph in a 30 limit was rushing to get home and a Ford Focus driver has been reported to court for travelling at 88mph in a 50 limit on the Dorset Way.
Police from the Dorset Police No Excuse team also stopped a Vauxhall van at 47mph in Ringwood Road Poole in a 30 limit. The driver was rushing home to eat his takeaway.
