SAFETY advice was given after a boat with six people on board ran aground near Mudeford Quay.
Southbourne Coastguards were alerted at 8.45pm last night and went to the aid of the vessel.
A spokesman said: "All six persons on board were safe and well. As the tide rose the vessel was able make passage back to their mooring near Wick and another passing vessel also assisted with their passage up river.
"We then assisted with them coming alongside at Wick and provided some safety advice."
