A MAN feared to have been missing following a fire in the Bere Regis area has been found.
Police received a report from the fire service about a barn fire in Throop on Friday evening, which burnt well into Saturday.
Concerns were raised for a man who had been seen in the area, but the man was later found safe and well in Wareham.
A police spokesman said: “At 11.30pm on Friday September 18, Dorset Police received a report from the fire service about a barn fire in Throop and concerns were raised for a man who had been seen in the area.
“Following an appeal for the public’s help to try and identify the man in order to find him, the man was located safe and well in Wareham.
“Officers are very grateful for all the help received, which enabled them to ensure the welfare of the man.”
Fire crews from Bere Regis and Wareham as well as a water carrier from Poole were called to an address in Throop at 11.20pm on Friday.
An investigation has begun into the cause of the fire.
