POLICE hunting thieves who stole a boat from Sandbanks Yacht Club have released CCTV images of two men.

An outboard motor and fuel can were also taken from Parkstone Yacht Club three days later and officers believe the same people may have been involved.

At around 11pm on Monday August 17 an 18-foot Bayliner boat was stolen from Sandbanks Yacht Club and at around 7.30pm on Thursday August 20 an outboard motor and fuel can were taken from the Parkstone Yacht Club in Pearce Avenue.

Both incidents are suspected to involve the same black Mercedes, which officers believe was using false or cloned registration plates.

Police Community Support Investigator Adam Cleaver, of Poole police, said: “We are making enquiries into these thefts and we are releasing CCTV images of two men we would like to speak to as part of our investigation, as well as images of the vehicle believed to be involved.

“I would urge anyone with information about this vehicle or who recognises the men pictured to please contact us.”
