TRAIN services between Bournemouth and Poole may be delayed, cancelled or revised following an incident dealt with by the emergency services. 

A statement from South Western Railway said: “Following the emergency services dealing with an incident near the railway between Poole and Bournemouth the line has now reopened.

“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 11am.

“We were informed that emergency services were dealing with an incident near the railway between Poole and Bournemouth. This has since been resolved and all lines are now open.”

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "It was an aggressive male preventing the train from leaving.

"He was over the yellow line refusing to leave.

"Ambulance sent to check over him but he had left by the time they arrived.

"The call came in at 8.15am."
