OFFICERS and the NPAS helicopter responded to an attempted burglary in the early hours of Saturday in Bournemouth.

Police were called to reports of the incident at an address in William Road shortly before 1am.

An investigation into the crime continues.

A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.56am on Saturday, August 15, to a report of an attempted burglary at an address on William Road in Bournemouth.

"No access was gained to the property.

"Officers attended and carried out a search of the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter, but the offenders were not located. No arrests have been made"
