TRAFFIC is heavily delayed on the A31 in the New Forest this afternoon due to a crash involving a van that was towing a trailer and a car.
Both lanes had been blocked eastbound, with queueing vehicles due to collision near the Castle Malwood turn off at Stoney Cross.
One lane has since reopened but there are delays of more than an hour, with heavy traffic all the way back to Ringwood.

Two people reportedly sustained minor injuries in the collision, which took place at around 1pm.
There are reports of delays westbound due to onlookers as they travel past the scene, as well as long delays on the A35 heading into Lyndhurst.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "We were called just after 1pm to a report of a collision involving a car and van on the A31.
"Two people reported minor injuries."
