The Savoy Cinema, Boscombe, pictured here in 1958 being redeveloped into a supermarket after years as a popular attraction.
The cinema opened as the Picture House in 1914 and was refurbished in 1930 reopening as the Savoy Cinema, the opening film was The Great Gabbo.
The cinema had a fire in the auditorium in early 1930 but thankfully reopened later in the year. The cinema closed in 1958, it was demolished and replaced with a retail outlet.
