A GROUP of Travellers that had been located on a grass area of Redhill Park in Bournemouth have moved to a different area of the borough.
As reported, more than a dozen caravans had set up an unauthorised encampment in Redhill Drive since last Friday.
BCP Council had booked a court hearing for today to move them on after launching the legal process earlier in the week.
However, on Thursday the group moved to an open space at Cornish Gardens, between Slades Farm and Ensbury Park.
Residents reported being able to hear generators running from the encampment throughout the night on Thursday.
A BCP Council spokesperson said: “The Traveller group that were at Redhill Park have left site and the area has been checked and cleared of litter.
"The council and police are aware that this group have moved to an open space in Cornish Gardens.
"The council will be carrying out the required assessments of this encampment today."
