CHERRIES players and staff have taken to social media to thank Eddie Howe after the long-serving boss left the club this evening.
The decision, which came as a big shock to many, was reached on a mutual basis following discussions between Howe and the board members this week after Cherries were relegated to the Championship.
Nathan Ake was one of the current crop to post on Instagram, simply saying "Thank you for everything" after Howe brought the Dutchman to the south coast from Chelsea.
Many others expressed their feelings on Twitter, including club legend Steve Fletcher and current vice captain Steve Cook.
Absolutely shocked and gutted by the news ... canβt thank him enough for giving me the opportunity to play in the premier league and for giving me the platform to grow as a person and as a player! I wish you all the best in the future gaffer πβ€οΈ pic.twitter.com/Fx7u3uRBD2
