TWO South West London artists are currently showcasing their artwork in The Bournemouth Arcade.

Kate Winskill, aged 60 and Raph Thomas, aged 28 have set up shop in the Cath Kidston building, exhibiting their individual pieces of art.

Kate has been a full time artist and designer for about 10 years with a gallery in Teddington.

Raph has been a full time artist for five years, prior to which he worked as a manager in Kate's gallery.

He has always enjoyed painting and studied art at foundation level before studying Ancient History BA.

Kate said: "People love his quirky and cheerful rainbow animals - they appeal to young and old. I put his painting of a parrot in my window and it sold that day."

Ever since that fateful day Raph stepped foot into the professional world of art, he and Kate have worked and collaborated together.

Bournemouth was the perfect spot for both artists to visit due to their connections.

Kate said: "We have a lot of South West London clients who are from or visit Bournemouth a lot and I came here as a child. One of our Kingston contacts who helps us find pop up shops gave us the Arcade Contact. It’s a fabulous spot, and lovely Mark Smith who manages Oasis next door to Cath Kidson will sell our work when we can’t be there."

Saturday, August 1 is the final day of the exhibition, which features rainbow animals and iconic images of Battersea Power Station.

Prices range from £20 to £200.
