A MAN who stalked a woman for five months had placed a GPS tracker on her car.
Andrew Melvern Barlow stalked a woman in Southampton between April 1 and September 4 last year.
The 55-year-old had placed a GPS tracker on her car without her knowledge in order to monitor her whereabouts.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he pleaded guilty to one count of stalking.
Barlow, of Stanpit, Christchurch, Dorset, was issued with a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim directly or entering her street address. The order is in place until July 16, 2022.
He was handed a community order and fined £150.
Barlow was also order to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.
