Swanage Lifeboat tasked to assist capsized sailing dinghy and broken down boat, both with passengers onboard
SWANAGE Lifeboat was tasked to assist a broken down boat and a capsized sailing dinghy yesterday.
Two lifeboats were sent to assist the broken down boat - which had five passengers onboard - and the dingy.
They were moved to the all-weather lifeboat while the single dinghy sailor was rescued by a passing vessel.
All six casualties were recovered safe and well.
Both vessels were then towed into Swanage to prevent them becoming shipping hazards.
