RANGERS responsible for Durdle Door thanked volunteers who helped clear litter, but urged there was still more to be done to prevent it happening again.
A post on the Lulworth Rangers Facebook page said: “We are pleased to say that as of this evening, the overwhelming mass of litter has been removed from Durdle Door beach.
“A huge thank you to the passionate and proactive volunteers who put in an incredible effort bagging this up so we could bring it to the car park, where it will be removed tomorrow.
“There is still a job to be done educating the visitors we will be welcoming over the summer, but please watch this space as we are implementing some methods that might alleviate what is sometimes a soul-destroying task.
“Thanks again to all those involved.”
