LIGHTNING flashed across the skies over Bournemouth last night.
Echo Camera Club member Tom Burn captured dramatic pictures of the light show from the clifftop.
He said; “For anyone that missed the light show over Bournemouth bay last night, here's what I managed to get.
“Best.Night.Ever - I've never been in the right place at the right time before!”
Jenifer Bausili captured this image of lightning from the beach at Southbourne.
She said: "It was my first attempt at lightning photography and i am really happy with how this turned out."
Meanwhile, William Evans captured the lightning from over the top of Hengistbury Head.
The lightning came at the end of what was the hottest day of the year so far.
Weather enthusiast Bournemouth and Poole Weather recorded highs of 31.3C in Bournemouth on Thursday.
The Met Office had issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms which was valid from 4pm on Thursday until 9am this morning.
Things are set to turn more unsettled after today with more in the way of cloud forecast for over the weekend with light rain tomorrow morning.
