FIRE crews have urged people to think before they park after discovering vehicles parked across fire access points in Studland.

A post on the Swanage Fire Station Facebook page said: “Over the last week we have had several calls to people having BBQ’s and camp fires on beaches and heathland. ‬

‪”Also yesterday crews were in the Studland area and cars were parked across fire access points as well as a bike being chained to one. ‬

“At several points along Ferry Road it was single car width only.

“If a serious incident happened emergency service would really struggle along there.

“The ground and grassland is still very dry at the moment. There’s a risk of a few showers over the next few days but will do little to dampen the dry conditions.

“Please do not ignore the signs and think before you park.”
