Young artists from across the district have sent their festive visions flooding in to the Daily Echo's Kids Love Christmas competition in association with the toy department at Beales in Bournemouth.

Images of Christmas trees, reindeer and angels have poured into our offices on Richmond Hill, brightening our postbag and our days.

The seasonal images will be entered in a competition to win £250 vouchers to spend in Beales' bulging toy department .

Entries will be divided into two age categories. Pint-sized painters will compete in a category for children aged six and under. The second category is for artists aged seven to ten.

Among those who have already sent in their pictures is five-year-old Kealin Heckford from Ringwood who painted a picture of a Christmas tree draped in the brightest colours.

Its vivid green branches are wrapped in red and orange tinsel. Brightly coloured presents lie beneath it. Santa Claus flies through the background on a blue sleigh, wearing a pink hat.

Olivia Galloway, seven, from Bournemouth, sent a picture of a fairy jumping for joy at the top of a Christmas tree.

The smiling sprite waves her wand and wishes a happy Christmas to everyone. Her smart red skirt and blue blouse make a striking contrast with her golden wings and orange crown.

Ten-year-old Harry Jardine from Springbourne sent a very smart reindeer whose bright red nose lights his way across the rooftops.

His scarlet sleigh is packed with presents and glides beneath a sky of golden stars.

Katie Jones, 10, from Boscombe, drew a manger scene. Proud parents Mary and Joseph stand beneath a giant star with the baby Jesus. A glorious golden angel flies in the background.

Smiling shepherds in brightly coloured smocks of purple and yellow check hold their crooks. Three golden-crowned kings smile contentedly in the foreground.

The closing date for entries is December 5 so keep them coming. Lucky winners will be announced two weeks later.
