THE popular Wick Ferry service is running again for the first time since the start of lockdown.
It links Wick village n Bournemouth with Christchurch and helps people to avoid a long walk down the river to cross over Tuckton bridge.
It will run from 10am until 4pm every day and special measures have been introduced to keep passengers safe.
The ferry is operated by Tuckton Tea Gardens and Bournemouth Boating Services, who are also now offering self-drive boats for hire.
In a post on Facebook about the ferry a spokesman said: “We have introduced some new procedures, so we will be asking our customers to follow the guidance of staff and the signage on both the Christchurch and Bournemouth landing stages.
“There will be a reduction in numbers we can carry to comply with the regulations.”
