ALTHOUGH we may not be able to walk the route with the Ferndown Carnival procession anymore, we can always take a stroll down memory lane with these images from the event in 2000.
The theme was the millennium and the parade and the day was suitably infested with bugs of all shapes and sizes.
West Moors Youth Club's entry had a computer screen with theirs, while Ferndown Area Youth Centre's also boasted Big Ben, a bottle of bubbly and the infamous Dome.
The Royal British Legion's Women's section's float took a nostalgic look back to England's 1966 World Cup victory, while the Ferndown Rainbow Guides portrayed a moon landing.
But top honours went to the Ferndown Phoenix Musical Society in a pretty purple-decorated float advertising their production of My Fair Lady.
