THE CHIEF Executive Officer of Poole based charity Prama Steve Robinson has braved the shave to raise money for the newly launched Christian Care Network.

Steve had his head shaved on Monday June 1 at Prama’s Holes Bay head office and has so far, raised almost £300 for the project.

The network, which is abbreviated as the CCN, is a partnership, run by Prama, including Immanuel Church Southbourne, Hope in the Community and Truth be Told.

Steve said: “Linking every congregation with care home residents, we want to build intergenerational communities and let everyone know that no one has been forgotten. Everyone is valuable and everyone is loved and a part of our lives.

“We will have a telephone friendship line available to every resident 24/7, which they can dial and have a chat or a prayer. We will have children and mums and tots groups visiting, when safe to do so.

“We will be bringing messages of hope through multi-church and dementia friendly online services for every resident’s lounge every Sunday”.

The head shave was organised to fundraise for equipment, such as cameras and computers with video processing and editing capabilities, to help the network carry out their community aid in the long term.

The event was live streamed to the charity’s Facebook page, and shared across their social media accounts.
