THE number of people who have died with coronavirus in Dorset’s hospitals remains at 152.

The county has recorded no new deaths in patients since June 1.

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals have recorded 65 deaths in total with the latest death occurring on May 28.

Poole Hospital has recorded 48 deaths in total.

Twenty four deaths have been recorded at Dorset County Hospital with the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Trust reporting 15 deaths.

NHS England announced yesterday (June 12) that a further 70 people who tested positive for Covid 19 had died in previous 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England has risen to 27,860.

The patients were aged between 24 and 102-years-old.

Three of the patients - aged between 78 and 102 - had no known underlying health conditions.

Three of the deaths occurred in the south west.
