A WOMAN has been identified following an appeal by police after a member of the public was reportedly bitten by a dog in Poole.
As reported, at around 1pm on Sunday, May 24 the victim, a woman aged in her 50s, was cycling along the Sterte Esplanade when a dog allegedly approached her in an aggressive manner before biting her on the leg.
It is reported that the dog’s owner did not apologise or leave their details.
The victim was left with a bite mark to her leg and was given a course of antibiotics.
Following an appeal, a woman has been identified and is helping officers to establish the full circumstances of the incident. No arrests have been made.
