POLICE seized a Mercedes E220 after the driver was seen on his phone in Columbia Road, Bournemouth.
The driver told Dorset Police No Excuse officers: “I need to drive for work, I’ve been here for five years and the DVLA forms are too complicated, I was on the phone because my card machine isn’t working and I need it fixed.”
The driver held a provisional licence and has since tried twice to complete the paperwork at the police station to collect his car.
