A MOTORCYCLIST who was seriously injured in a crash in North Dorset remains in hospital – but his injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.
As reported, police were called shortly after 8am on Monday to a report of a collision involving a grey Peugeot van and a white Ducati motorcycle on the C13 at Spread Eagle Hill near Melbury Abbas.
The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 50s from Westbury in Wiltshire, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be potentially life-threatening.
Providing an update yesterday, a Dorset Police spokesman said the injured man continues to receive treatment in hospital, adding: "His injuries are no longer believed to be potentially life-threatening."
A 22-year-old man from the Blandford area was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released under investigation as officers continue this investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving of the vehicles involved prior to it, is asked to contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 18:48.
